What's in my Travel Case!

By July 22, 2013 ,

It's been a long time since I last did a "what's in my make-up bag", but since I don't actually carry a make-up bag anymore or use makeup as often as I used to, I decided to do a "what's in my travel case" instead.

I'm currently in the midst of packing my bag. I tend to leave everything till the last minute, but I decided I should be more prepared this time since I'm "in charge" of bringing certain items like walkie-talkies and anti blister sticks and I wouldn't want to accidentally leave them behind.

Sounds like I'm going on a nature hike.

1 Naked Palette by Urban Decay | 2 Mac Blusher in Harmony | 3 Smashbox Studio Seamless Liquid Foundation in Warm Beige | 4 Nars the Multiple in Luxor | 5 Marcelle BB Cream in Golden Glow Illuminator | 6 Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray | 7 Urban Decay primer in Sin | 8 Maybelline Colossal Volume in Blackest Black | 9 Clinique Mascara Primer | 10 Clinique High Impact Mascara in Coffee Brown | 11 Physician's Formula Liquid Eyeliner | 12 Prorance Shine Stick Shadow in 01 | 13 Physician's Formula Gel Eyeliner from the Brown Shimmer Strip | 14 Clinique Quickliner in Roast Coffee | 15 Maybelline Rocket Volume in Black | 16 Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch | 17 Missha BB cream in No21 Light Beige | 18 Puma Red and White Perfume

If you haven't already noticed, I tend to use multiples of the same product. For instance, I have three different types of foundation here, and that's what I love about make-up. It's all so versatile. I like to use the Missha BB cream as a base and the other two darker colors for contouring and bronzing.

I highly recommend the Rocket Mascara if you can get your hands on one. I am addicted to drugstore and Clinique mascaras. These are the ones that work best for me.

I used to bring a whole train case with me when I went on holidays, but then I realized that not only was this not practical, it was also unnecessary. I've since whittled my must-haves down to these 18 products. I like going on ebay sometimes to buy samples of my must-haves so that they are more travel friendly. It definitely beats lugging around a whole bottle of toner.

I've found American and Korean sellers to be fairly reliable. Sephora also gives out random sample bags, but if you can't find a sample online and it's part of your must-have staples, it's always worth a shot at the store to see if they have any. I've found SA's to be very generous with samples if you ask nicely.

It's been a bit cool today, but I kinda like it this way. The weather's always better when it's not too hot or too cold. I still have two more weeks to gather all my things together, but I can't believe it's almost here!
