transitioning to spring

The transition between Winter to Spring is always a little awkward. Do I wear my UGGS or my rainboots, heavy layers or thin? More importantly, sweatpants or a dress? There's also this looming excitement whenever anyone talks about the weather, but at the same time, a sense of dread, knowing that it will be a while still before the mud filled streets and puddles of water fully disappear.
But things that I'm loving for this awkward transition?
Lately, I've been finding myself listening to a lot of music, and nothing beats the sound that comes out of the beats headphones. They're extremely overpriced yes, but they get the job done. A little inconvenient for the gym, obviously, but for the last little while, if I'm not at work, I'm probably sitting at my desk.
Other things that have become part of my daily routine include a Klorane leave in flax spray which I spritz onto my roots for that added extra Spring volume, the Marc Anthony beach spray which gives me that tousled sea salt texture, and my three go to Essie polishes in shades sunday funday, to buy or not to buy, and angora cardi.
The drive to work usually occurs between 7-8 AM which is when the sun seems to rise nowadays, so I often find myself throwing on my trusty pair of aviators which I've had since forever. Because I'm clearly not a morning person, my morning routine has also been simplified to the max. I throw on my favorite pair of colored contact lenses from Freshkon, in the shade misty grey, a spritz of YSL parisienne which I've recently re-discovered, and a swipe of mascara, eyeliner, and browgel (if I have time).
Another thing that has become part of my routine is eating and relaxing with Hera after work, in between work, before work, and when we don't have work. I went out for lunch with her today and she informed me that it would be +10 degrees next Tuesday, which is sweater weather in her books, but completely tropical in mine. Perhaps it's time to break out the flip flops?
Soon, hopefully.
